Zoo pics part 1!

Finally finally finally I'm getting around to posting these! We took both cameras and the big lenses out to the MN zoo a couple of weekends ago. It was a lovely day! Heh, all these young couples ran around with kids and strollers while we ran around with two cameras and huge lenses. ^_^

First we went to the tiger exhibit and we were lucky to see both siblings out and playing for a while. For some reason they both thought it was a good idea to take a poo in the water moat separating them from the people. So here I was setting up some shots...and then wondering why one of them is squatting at that funny angle...oh right. My camera has captured its first poo shot. I'm so proud. O_O

We always like to go to the indoor tropical trail. We spend a lot of time in the large aviary where birds fly all around you. One dove walked right past my shoe! The bf used to work at the zoo and one of the birds apparently loved him so much that it would fly down and nest in his hair whenever he showed up. And then it would bite his hand when he tried to get it off. Hee.

We also stopped at the gibbon island. The female (white) practically posed for the camera - swinging around and holding poses and looking back at the camera. The male (black) was less active but we did get one shot.
