The bf and I went to a swanky wedding reception last weekend. Interlachen golf course, live band, flowers everywhere, tons of food. I liked how they did the food - there were four tables in the main room with small bites of all sorts of tasty things. Sushi, curried beef in coconut shells, asian lettuce wraps, salmon, lamb, pineapple, cilantro apple chicken salad. And the dessert table had a huge stack of cupcakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, and chocolate covered cheesecake bites. It was much more fun than being served formally at tables.

And it had an open bar, where I discovered 1 large glass of shiraz + 1 chocolate martini = very tipsy toaster! I should have stopped with the wine, but I couldn't turn down a free martini! :)

Blech. I've had mild migraines the past few days (no throbbing or light sensitivity, they just don't go away with normal tylenol treatment). I take one Midrin and the headache goes away, but the damn medication makes me sooo drowsy. A few hours ago I was practically nodding off at work. The fact that I was reading a biostatistics book didn't help things. ^_^

It's March! I CAN HAS NEW BSG NOW PLZ? Seriously, I'm dying here.

Watched "Kindred 2" last night. Without spoiling things too much, I'll say that I enjoyed his return quite a bit (a little OTT at the end though). I was sad when Rodney mentioning Elizabeth. And overall I think Teyla's "arc" this season has sucked. Where did the fierce, kickass woman go? Blech.

Next week's "Last Man" looks to have lots of CGIed explosions and...well an "emotional" moment that I won't spoil as it might trigger my gag reflex. It may come up in the comments, so beware!

For BSG fans:

There's a new cast promo pic floating around featuring everyone in poses mimicking DaVinci's the Last Supper. I want to see it SO BAD because I think promo pics like that are awesome. My favorite BSG cast pic is for s2 where they were acting out what had happened at the end of s1 - Adama is down, Apollo is looking over him, Boomer has a gun, etc.

BUT...I can't look at it because it may give a major hint as to who the fifth cylon may be and/or how the cast are aligned in the metaphorical Jesus/Judas/disciple roles. And I don't want to be spoiled for that at all. The bf has checked it out and read someone's analysis and now is cackling at me again, much like he did when he spoiled himself for the s3 finale. Lalalalalala... *plugs ears*

I can't give the link either because I don't want to run the risk of spoilage, so unfortunately spoiler lovers are on their own. No spoiling me please, just passing along the news for those who are interested. :)

Damn, is it March yet?

So RDM has reported that they've wrapped up filming BSG's 13th ep and they're done because he's honoring the strike. The BSG actors have apparently been released too, but under the condition that they have to report right back to BSG if the strike ends. RDM has stated that the 13th ep is NOT the finale of the series and he took a gamble in choosing not to end the series and hope that the strike would end soon. Oh man, I hope he's right. I can deal with an abbreviated Heroes, I can deal with no new 30 Rock in 2 eps, but I will be mighty peeved if the conclusion of BSG is in any way screwed up because of the strike. I won't blame the writers or the strike, but timing and coincidence and karma will get my evil eye.

But there is some hope, isn't skiffy going to air 10 eps of BSG starting in March and then the final 10 eps in (gulp!) 2009? So one would hope that the strike would be resolved with enough time to properly finish BSG in 2009. Fingers are crossed.



Now the question: Are the studios going to release DVDs of the partial seasons of TV shows? For example, is there going to be a Heroes s2 DVD with 11 eps? A 30 Rock DVD with 10 eps? Has this even come up in discussion? Would they be released any time soon?

Did the BSG movie Razor get leaked to teh interweb? Because I think I found it. Oh yes I do. Mwahahaha.
